Outbox Initiative launches Fashion Fusion Africa 2025 to boost trade, business visibility

The Outbox Care Initiative has launched a new programme—Fashion Fusion Africa 2025—designed to support African fashion entrepreneurs through trade facilitation, storytelling, and business development.

The programme, implemented through Outbox Experience, was introduced during the recent Grand Unveiling and Casting Call, where over 300 models auditioned in the presence of stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. Industry figures, including judges from the fashion and entertainment sectors, were also in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Outbox Care Initiative, Joshua Agu, said the project was intended to extend the economic potential of fashion beyond aesthetics.

“We have always believed that fashion can do more than make statements—it can build economies,” Agu said. “With FFA 2025, we’re focusing on trade, brand visibility, and global positioning for African creators.”

Designers from across the continent are reportedly registering to participate in the initiative, which builds on Outbox Care Initiative’s previous engagements, such as The Anambra Fashion Expo, Naija Sales Plug Fair, Women in Business Fair, Black Friday Fair, and Project Dukiya.

According to the organisation, these past events have enabled small businesses to access wider markets and improve visibility.

“The future of African enterprise is in collaborative ecosystems,” said Louis Idam, Chief Operating Officer. “We’re offering that opportunity now through FFA.”

Fashion Fusion Africa 2025 is expected to feature exhibitions, trade showcases, and other collaborative activities aimed at connecting African fashion professionals with broader economic opportunities.
