Police Want Quasi-Security Outfits To Stay Away From Polling Booths

AHEAD of today’s and April 11 polls, the newly posted Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Austin Evbakhavbokun, has said his command would not recognise all Imo State sponsored quasi-security operatives during the elections.
AHEAD of today’s and April 11 polls, the newly posted Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Austin Evbakhavbokun, has said his command would not recognise all Imo State sponsored quasi-security operatives during the elections.
He stated that such state government outfits included Imo Security Network, among others.
Evbakhavbokun, who spoke during his maiden press briefing in his office in Owerri, also warned all the state security outfits to steer clear from the various polling booths, adding that his officers and men would not spare any of them found to be parading themselves during the elections.
