Ascend Studios has announced a strategic partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for a groundbreaking initiative, the Africa Creative Blueprint (ACB).
ACB aims to empower 3,500 emerging and professional creative talents across Nigeria by providing innovative, hands-on training to elevate Africa’s creative economy. Upon completion, 200 top participants will join the production of a 13-episode TV drama, creating over 200 full-time and part-time jobs during production.
Other collaborators include Venture Garden Group, the renowned Ralph Simon, and Paramount Nigeria—trailblazers dedicated to reshaping Africa’s creative landscape.
The training, which will be virtual and in-person will hold in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kano, Benin and Asaba.
The programme is designed for emerging and working talent in the following fields: Directors, writers, producers, production coordinators/managers, actors/actresses, editors, cinematographers, production designers, costume designers, sound designers, assistant directors, accountants, music professionals, lawyers, production finance professionals (sales agents, distributors) and talent agents/managers.
