This year’s theme, “Empower Creativity, Shape the Future,” focuses on nurturing local talent and driving economic growth in the creative sector.
The fashion week attracted a star-studded audience, including Nigerian entertainment legends like Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) and Ini Edo, as well as esteemed government officials and state dignitaries. The endorsement by the Akwa Ibom State Government underscored the event’s importance in promoting cultural tourism and the creative industry within the region.
Governor Umo Eno, in his address, praised the designers for their innovation and highlighted the role of fashion in driving economic development and cultural preservation. “Uyo Fashion Week is more than a showcase; it is a platform to tell the African story through art and style,” he stated.
Workshops and Masterclasses were held to cover topics on fashion, creativity, and entrepreneurship, featuring prominent speakers like UdemeUfot and Dare Lawal.
Among the talented designers, EbunOladoye emerged as a standout figure, leaving the audience in awe with his innovative collection.
EbunOladoye’s designs captivated the audience with their fusion of traditional African motifs and modern sophistication, inspired by Nigeria’s rich cultural tapestry, featured intricately woven fabrics, bold patterns, and elegant silhouettes that seamlessly bridged the past and present.Oladoye’s performance at Uyo Fashion Week has cemented his status as a rising icon in the African fashion scene. The event also featured Clemas, another talented designer whose creations offered a fresh take on African streetwear. The creative director of the brand, Kelvin Williams blended urban aesthetics with indigenous elements, resonating with younger audiences and promoting a sense of pride in African heritage. The diversity of designs from other participating creatives added to the vibrancy and depth of the fashion week, showcasing everything from avant-garde artistry to eco-friendly collections.

Ladymae Edmonds was another notable designer at Uyo Fashion Week who gave African print fashion a new angle.
