NotJustOk unveils Afrobeats Power Ranking

As Afrobeats continues to dominate the global music scene, leading music distribution and publishing service platform, NotJustOk, has unveiled a new initiative dubbed the ‘Afrobeats Power Ranking’, a dynamic ranking system that identifies the genre’s most dominant artistes each month based on key performance indicators.

This innovative ranking system aimed at reshaping the music landscape is designed to provide a definitive measure of the biggest and most influential Afrobeats artistes, songs, and producers, thereby giving music fans and industry insiders alike a comprehensive snapshot of the genre’s current state.

With its finger on the pulse of Africa’s vibrant music scene, the music distribution and publishing service platform, through the system will rank artistes based on a variety of metrics, including total global streams, recent music releases (singles, EPs, and albums released within the last month), social engagement, and user-generated content, among others.

The ranking provides a clear snapshot of an artiste’s influence and momentum in the Afrobeats scene on a monthly basis, ensuring that both established stars and up-and-coming artistes are properly recognised.

While new songs – singles and off-projects – released within the month are prioritised, global streams accumulated during the month are also considered. This allows for the influence of emerging or breakout artistes to be well-documented alongside established stars.

Beyond providing fans, industry stakeholders, and artistes with an accurate, transparent, and evolving measure of success, the Afrobeats Power Ranking also examines streaming numbers, live performances, and audience engagement to provide a reliable and data-driven assessment of the genre’s most significant movers.

By taking into account a wide range of indicators, this ranking reflects both commercial success and cultural impact, making it the ultimate metric for Afrobeats supremacy. In a nutshell the Afrobeats Power Ranking is a list of the top 50 Afrobeats artistes who dominated the month under review.
