Some political leaders from Idoma community have declared their support for Austin Agada following his emergence as consensus chairmanship candidate ahead of the October state congress of the All Progressives Congress in Benue State.

It would be recalled that Agada was named the party’s chairmanship consensus candidate after stakeholders of the APC in the state zoned the seat to Benue South and it was micro-zoned to Ogbadibo.

Following the development, two frontline contenders, Barr. Ochai Onazi and Ameh Udoh, stepped down and declared their support for Austin Agada.

Onazi, a two term House of Assembly member, Ado State Constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly, described as his son, a capable hand in the unification project of the APC who shall lead the party to victory in 2023.

Onazi emphasized that, the Agada he know, would not only reclaim the governorship seat from the PDP which has thrown the state into poverty and under-development but shall ensure the victory of all flag bearers of the APC.

Onazi further called on all chairmanship aspirants of the party in Benue to follow his footsteps in endorsing unanimously the candidature of Comrade Austin Agada, the bridge between the elders and the youths.

On his part, Udo said he has confidence in Agada, who has overtime proved his mettle in the political terrain despite his young age.

The respected APC chieftain described Agada as a dynamic and strong-willed youth who has all it takes to help rescue power from the PDP in Benue State come 2023.

Relatively, former military governor of Bauchi State and elder statesman, Maj. Gen. Chris Garuba, said the choice of Austine Agada was well-thought and should be applauded.

Garuba, a chieftain of the APC described as a committed party man with unquenchable zeal that will lead the APC to victory in subsequent elections.

Garuba believes that, most of the elders in Zone C were at about the age of Agada when leadership responsibility fell on them.

He maintained that, for any society to grow, the elders must give way for the youth to take over leadership responsibilities especially vibrant youths like Agada.

Earlier, former governorship aspirant in Benue State, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, has said Austin Agada has capacity to lead the party to victory in 2023 as chairman of the APC.
