PARENTS and students at the mini sports complex of EffortsWill Schools, Iyana Ejigbo, Lagos, were at the weekend thrilled by budding sportsmen and women from the school, who put up fantastic performances during their 10th biennial inter-house sports competition.

At the end of the day, Blue House won the event, which featured students from both the primary and secondary sections in various sports events, including athletics, long and high jump, among other events.

Speaking at the event, proprietress of EffortsWill Schools, Bose Adeyemo, said the inter-house sports competition was organized to encourage the students discover their talents in sports, while pursuing their educational career.

“I am delighted that EffortsWill Schools has successfully organized the school inter- house sports for 10 years now. The event is part of the school’s commitment to discover young talents and groom them to continue giving their best in their chosen sports,’’ she said.

She advised parents to stop discouraging their wards from taking part in sports, describing it as a tool to promote discipline and hard work while studying.

Adeyemo also commended the students for their outstanding displays in the championship in which Yellow House won the second position, while Green House went home with the third position.
