
Ola Aina will be desperate to end his Manchester City jinx when Nottingham Forest visit the reigning Premier League champions at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
Aina will certainly bring on his A-game as he seeks his first-ever win in five Premier League fixtures against the confidence-depleted Man City who is oozing blood.
The Nigerian defender has faced City on four occasions in the Premier League, twice with former club, Fulham where he was on loan in the 2020/21 season, losing 2-0 away and 3-0 at home.

Aina also played twice for Forest against the Citizens during the 2023/24 season, losing 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium in match week six before another 2-0 loss at the City Ground in round 35.
With the Super Eagles defender’s record against Man City reading four Premier League losses, he is also yet to celebrate any of Fulham or Forest scoring versus City.
Meanwhile, currently outside of the Champions League picture let alone the Premier League title race, City has a seven-game winless run to end when Forest arrives.
Pep Guardiola’s troops could not stop the Liverpool juggernaut on Sunday, losing 2-0 to the runaway leaders while the Tricky Trees edged out Ipswich Town 1-0 to get back to winning ways.
Aina who saw full action on Saturday registered his fifth EPL clean sheet this season, making vital blocks.
A major highlight of his performance during the weekend was when he cleared Ipswich’s shot on the goalline.
