Too many call-ups for a game less than three weeks, what time will the selected few have in other to practice and blend together before the actual game, this is usually the problem the Nigerian team always have before their games. They will always have One million call-ups on the eve of an important game, then end up presenting a disjointed team because there wasn’t enough time for selected few to practice and to allow the first-eleven to practice together. Before calling them up, should’t the coach must have watched “one million” players play in video clips before he decides to call them up. He should have vented them before the call ups, so selection can be made easier and on time, so the team can have enough time to prepare, practice and blend together long before the actual match. Having one million talents should not mean you must call up “one million” players that is tantamount to shooting yourself at the foot. If you must call up “one million” players then do that when you don’t have an immediate match, and make your selections long before any scheduled game so you can pencil down those you know are the best, and call up only the few in your war chest when the actual battle draws near, so that only those out of the one million that you have vented will be called to action. Thanks.
