Multichoice explains DSTV’s broadcast of AFCON qualifiers, Copa America

Nigerians’ love for quality football is part of the reasons satellite broadcast outfit, DSTV, is bringing the games of the South American nations cup, Copa America, and the African Nations Cup qualifiers to its Nigerian audience.

Nigerians’ love for quality football is part of the reasons satellite broadcast outfit, DSTV, is bringing the games of the South American nations cup, Copa America, and the African Nations Cup qualifiers to its Nigerian audience.

DSTV is broadcasting the Nations Cup qualifiers and games of the Copa America on SuperSport and GoTv channels. Speaking in Lagos at the weekend, General Manager (Marketing, Multichoice, Martins Mabutho, said the company is always mindful of the needs of its subscribers hence it decided to get the rights for the competitions.

Mabutho said: “Football fans in Nigeria are excited about the Copa America tournament, which are being aired live on High Definition (HD) for Premium and Compact Plus bouquets for DStv subscribers only. “Both DStv and Gotv subscribers will enjoy live telecasts of matches of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.”

Also speaking on the top football competitions, SuperSport General Manager, West Africa, Felix Awogu, enjoined Nigerian subscribers to take advantage of an imminent 50 per cent price slash of DStv Explora promotion to upgrade to the Explora and watch their various programmes in a new viewing experience. The Copa America, which kicked off on June 11 in Chile, will end on July 4.
