Insinuations in some quarters that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is making underground moves to replace Super Eagles Head Coach, Sunday Oliseh, may not be true afterall.

One local media (not The Guardian) had reported yesterday that the soccer body had solidified moves to replace Oliseh before Nigeria’s 2017 AFCON qualifiers against Egypt next month.

The report stated that coaches Samson Siasia and Emmanuel Amunike had been put on standby and that the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, had changed his mind because he wants to hand the team to a more experienced coach.

According to the report, the NFF boss had begun negotiation with former coach of the team and current Technical Director, Shuaibu Amodu, to take over on interim basis.

However, the NFF boss, Pinnick, has described such report as untrue. Speaking with The Guardian yesterday, Pinnick said: “That is not true. I don’t know where such report is coming from.”

The report suggests that the relationship between the NFF and Oliseh appears to have broken down and with the double-header qualifiers against Egypt few weeks away, and Oliseh’s body language is suggesting he was not in the right frame of mind to tinker the Eagles.

The arrangement to bring in Amodu, according to the report would be for the two matches after which decision would be taken on who handles the team on a permanently basis should Oliseh finally turn his back against the country.

Secretary General of the NFF, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi refused to speak on the issue yesterday, as he referred The Guardian to the Technical Committee chairman of the body, Barrister Christopher Green. But Green refused to answer several telephone calls put across to him by The Guardian.

A fool can never fail to be a fool. If Amaju (Pinnick) got it wrong by engaging the service of Oliseh, must he drown with him at all cost, or there is a backyard deal that could cost him monetarily that makes him feel indebted to Sunday Oliseh. There need to be investigation on the relationship between Oliseh and Pinnick, because it doesn’t appear to be a professional relationship, otherwise why would he stick his neck for Oliseh, when it is obvious that the man he is trying to shield has failed to deliver in every respect. We crashed out shamefully at CHAN 2016 and he got the guts to insult even people who are old enough to be his father. and the first thing he did was to destroy team spirit and unity, was that what he was hired to achieve?

Oliseh is a disaster and unfit to coach a national team, which most people already know (just like the current occupant of aso rock) but blind emotions, ignorant and chequered priorities threw up support for his appointment, to humilaite and justify sacking Keshi. However, olise is not problem of nigeria football, nff is the problem, sack oliseh now or not, is not the solution when nff is people by imbeciles. Why on earth should we not have Odegbami or Owo Blow or Quick Sylva or Adokiye as nff chairman or at least in the board instead of a picnic man or a green snake? For now, oliseh must not be sacked, let him stay to finish what he whatever soup he is cooking, all countries must not goto Afcon or world cup. If nigeria fails to qualify, then they learn from the mistakes, the deed with oliseh is already done, appointing an unstable mind to serve the public or to even head a business is pure madness, because football is now real big business
