Governor Okowa gave this charge when he received the African Pro-Wrestling Champion, Godspower Ikpide, popularly known as Power Lee De- Great at the Government House, Asaba.

He stated that Deltans who are involved in sporting activities have been doing the state proud and are good ambassadors of the state and the nation.

“As a state, we are always in the news due to one sporting achievement or the other and we are very happy to be celebrating one of our own, who is doing great exploits in the game of professional wrestling. He is a good ambassador of Delta State. Some weeks ago, we celebrated another of our own, a kick boxing champion, and we are very proud of them.”

The governor gave assurance of his administration’s support and assistance to sportsmen, especially to Power Lee in his effort to defend the African title in Asaba.
