YELLOW House at the weekend retained the over all best team title at the KOSEC School fourth bi-annual inter-house meet held at the Apata Memorial Playing Field, Ago Okota. It topped the medals table with 15 gold, 10 silver and eight bronze medals.

Blue House came second with a haul of 12 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals, while Green House placed third, garnering a total of 27 medals including seven gold, eight silver and 12 bronze.

The school’s administrator, Mrs. Uduche Theresa Otito, while commenting on the occasion, expressed her delight that the students were once again given the chance to exercise their bodies. According to her: “Today is our fourth biannual inter house sports. We are supposed to be organising this yearly, but for some reasons, we decided to make it a biennial thing to achieve a very good result.

“We are all aware that exercise is good for the body, and inter house sports is a way of showcasing the talents of these kids; schooling is not all about academics. It’s during a special occasion like this that talents are discovered. For one to make it in life, it’s not only about reading and writing. From sports, we can have those that will fulfill their destiny and life ambition just as the household names in sports, who have been able to achieve a lot from sports.”
