He added that the festival like many other sporting events worldwide had its challenges, but quick and prompt intervention of the host state saw such challenges resolved without much delay. He added that the hosting of this year’s edition was one of the best in recent times and the state government deserves commendation from all sports loving Nigerians, especially looking at the short time that it had to prepare for the games.

Also speaking, The Director-General, Delta State Sports Commission, Chris Anazia, thanked The Minister Of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, management staff of the Sports Ministry and the Presidency in particular, for the opportunity given to the state to host the games.

He called on the athletes to leverage on the opportunities provided them by the government to develop their potential beyond the festival so as to be able to compete favourably with their counterparts globally.
