OVER N3 billion worth of project have been embarked upon by Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka since the inception of the administration of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Boniface Egboka.

Already, the university has been adjudged by accreditation panels of the National Universities Commission (NUC) as one of the fastest growing universities in the country, following the pace of development. Similarly, the university has established academic linkage programmes with universities in the United States of America and some institutions in Belgium. According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Emma Ojukwu, the projects include those completed or ongoing from Internally Generated Revenue, endowments by private and corporate organisations and those being sponsored by the Federal Government. The university linkage programmes include: ELMADA Consulting Inc, Ontario, Canada (to build students’ hostels), York University, Toronto-Linkage in Business Studies and the Sciences, Humber College, Toronto-Exchange programmes in Arts and Sciences, Lincoln University, Philadelphia-Researchers, Faculty and Student Exchange Programmes, Florida Atlantic University, Florida, USA-Linkage on a Centre of Energy and Environment. “We are now establishing academic relationships with the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics, University of Anwerp, Belgium,” Ojukwu stated.
