‘CAC aids global rating of investment climate in Nigeria’
THE Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has said that its immense contribution to the indices used in the global rating of Nigeria’s business climate is due to its ability to deliver on its mandate of making business transactions easy in the country.
CAC Registrar General, Bello Mahmud, said the commission’s e-business registration portal, which was launched recently, and other activities contributed in enabling both local and foreign investors to do business with Nigeria with ease.
Mahmud, briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja on the CAC’s maiden annual corporate citizen’s award billed for Thursday, said the award stemmed from the need to recognise performance and reward corporate excellence in all sectors of the economy.
He noted that it would celebrate achievements in business and entrepreneurship while also stimulating economic objectives, thereby improving the country’s rating in the global competitive index of doing business.
