Ark of Light Food Bank fetes widows, elderly, gave cash to less-privileged

Beneficiaries queuing to receive food items at the event

A renowned philanthropist, Dr. Isaiah Macwealth, has for over 20 years extended a helping hand to the less privileged across different communities in Nigeria and beyond.

With the establishment of The Isaiah Wealth Initiative (TIWI), which comprises 15 Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs), Macwealth is using the organisations to cater for the diverse needs of the people, alleviate suffering and empowering the less-privileged in different communities.

To make food available for all, he added the Ark of Light Food and Emergency Bank (ALFEB), a food sanctuary and Emergency Response Centre, to the fold.

The initiative, which embodies his belief that no one should face the indignity of food insecurity, aims at providing food to atleast 20,000 families yearly and over 1,000 families in Lagos and its environs benefitted from the outfit in its December Open Pantry Day in 2023.

On March 29, 2024, ALFEB opened its stores again and ignited hope and joy in the lives of over 3,000 individuals, including widows, widowers, the elderly, retirees, mothers, single mother and orphans by generously giving out different food items including bags of rice, beans, noddles, tubbers of yam, clothing, drinks and even toys to children. Apart from the food items, some sums of money was added to the package to allavate the current hardship in the country.

Aside this, beneficiaries were thrilled with doses of good music as a way of instilling hope and joy in them.
