Dufil Prima Foods Plc has emerged winner of Labour-Friendly Organisation award for 2016.

The award, organised by the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award, seeks to recognise exemplary entrepreneurship and reward corporate organisations’ practice in Nigeria.

After a month’s publication in National Newspapers and input from stakeholders leading to an intensive screening exercise, the award was presented to Dufil Prima.

Despite the economic challenges, which saw many companies shutdown or retrench staff, Dufil Prima, over the years has been contributing immensely to the ‘real sector’ entrepreneurial growth and development through their operations, sponsorships and Corporate Social Responsibility programs.

Receiving the award on behalf of the company, the Group Head, Public Relations, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Ashiwaju Temitope, said: “Dufil Prima is focused on its drive to make life better for Nigerians.

“The company has been adding value to the lives of millions by dishing out quality products such as Indomie Instant Noodles, Power Oil, Power Pasta, Minimie Chinchin and Minimie Noodles.

“Dufil has kept faith with the Nigerian economy by not laying-off staff at this challenging period and many direct and indirect employments have been created. The company has also been involved in some of the most humane CSR sponsorship activities such as Indomie Independence Day Awards which is receiving commendations for rewarding children of extraordinary gifts and courage,” Ashiwaju said.

Dufil Prima’s major brand, Indomie Instant Noodles, has been enabling food vendors to own kiosks and small business outlets all over the country, thereby providing jobs to thousands of jobless Nigerians.

The 2016 edition of the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award had in attendance representatives of President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, who was present at the event, the Ooni of Ife and many other dignitaries.

Other recipients of awards include, the Ooni of Ife, Kano State Governor, Stanbic IBTC Pensions, and Dana Airline among others.
