IPMAN: Umana heads a 12-man caretaker committee

A newcaretaker executive of the Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has emerged in Cross River State with an assurance of an uninterrupted supply of petroleum products in the state.

The 12-man team is headed by Elder Edet Umana, who is also the chairman, caretaker committee of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation/Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (NNPC/PPMC) depot in Calabar, Cross River State.

A letter signed by the national president, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo and the national secretary, Danladi Pasali, said the inauguration of the team was as a result of the judgment of the Abuja Appeal Court with ref CA/A/397/2014 delivered on December 7, 2017 by Fatima Omoro Akinbami, JCA, which upheld IPMAN election of May 10, 2014 as well as confirming the election of Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo led national executive committee.

According to the letter made available at the weekend in Calabar, the 12-member caretaker committee also has Ekanem Effiong, as Vice Chairman and Mrs. Adana Onuegbu, as Secretary.

The letter reads: “The national executive committee of IPMAN has approved your appointment as chairman caretaker committee for NNPC/PPMC depot, Calabar.

This appointment is to cover IPMAN activities in your depot pending when election will be conducted in line with the 2009 IPMAN constitution as amended.”
