In a bid to support Federal Government’s economic diversification, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has partnered with SpintelligentPty and Clarion Events Limited to host a three-day Nigeria Manufacturing Expo in Lagos.

According to the organizers, the expo is aimed at attracting foreign direct investment, support Nigerian Industrial Revolution Plan (NIPR), increase local production, support job creation and ultimately stimulate the growth and diversification of the Nigeria economy for self-reliance and export of non-oil and gas products.

The expo which is slated for Tuesday, March 15 to Thursday 17 March is expected to host Federal government agencies, ECOWAS officials, international trade departments an exports council in response to government’s commitment to industrialization and the need for Nigeria to diversify its economy.

Speaking ahead of the Expo, Director General, MAN, Remi Ogunmefun in a statement disclosed that the expo would be an international platform to showcase manufacturing machines, facilitate re-tooling, build capacity of plant managers, stimulate investments and promote Made-in Nigeria products in accordance with the provisions of the NIPR.

According to him, there would be funding support and financing products for machinery acquisition with Bank of Industry (BoI), Small and Medium Entreprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and various private sector banks who has been invited as event partners to support local SME manufacturers to apply for the capital required to finance their factory upgrades, modernize their facilities and improve manufacturing quality.

“Invitations to over 2000 MAN members, automated production equipment resellers and distributors from West Africa would be issued to meet with over 100 international automated production machinery producers who will be showcasing their equipment and technologies as exhibitors, he added.
