Oando leads gainers on the Exchange

Oando Nigeria Plc traded higher at the end of yesterday’s transactions on the trading floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. It led 17 others with 7.22 per cent to close at N6.98 per share. Nigerian-Stock-Exchange-300x225Oando Nigeria Plc traded higher at the end of yesterday’s transactions on the trading floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

It led 17 others with 7.22 per cent to close at N6.98 per share. Following Oando yesterday was Guinness Plc, adding 4.99 per cent to close at N136.42 per share.

Other gainers of yesterday’s transactions include: Stanbic IBTC, UACN, AG Leventis, adding 4.97, 4.97 and 4.85 per cent to close at N19.85, N26.41 and N1.08 per share.

Eternaoil gained 4.52 per cent to close at N1.62 per share while Wema bank added 4.26 per cent to close at N0.98 per share.
Learn Africa and Nigerian Aviation Handling Company garnered 4.23 and 3.53 per cent to close at N0.74 and N4.40 per share. Ecobank TransNational Incorporated also added 1.589 per cent to close at N18.49 per share.

On the other hand, Mobil Nigeria Plc emerged the day’s highest price loser with 9.75 per cent to close at N138.99 per share . Fidson Pharmaceuticals followed with 9.68 per cent to close at N3.08 per share.

Cutix and UAC-Properties lost 5.00 per cent to close at N1.52 and N6.65 per share respectively. Unilever dropped 4.98 per cent to close at N33.18 per share. Ikeja Hotel shed 4.94 per cent to close at N3.08 per share.

Champion Breweris and Chellaram also dropped 4.83 and 4.81 per cent to close at N4.14 and N3.76 per share.

Consequently, the market capitalisation of listed equities fell by N7 billion or 0.07 per cent to N9.977 trillion from N9.984 trillion traded the previous day. 

Also the NSE All Share Index (ASI) went down by 20.43 basis points to 29032.44 points from  29052.87 points traded on Tuesday.         
Investors exchanged 181.606 million shares worth N2.055 billion in 3074 deals against  166.757 million shares valued at N1.124 billion traded the previous day in 3287 deals.
