Atiku’s supporters back Jonathan
PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan’s second term ambition in the March 28 presidential election has received a boost as friends of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and members of the Yar’Adua support group in the South West on the platform of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (AAA) and Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) have unanimously endorsed his candidature.
Speaking at a press conference in Akure yesterday, the South West Coordinator of the group, Bode Ajewole, said they are convinced that President Jonathan will implement the recommendations of the 2014 National Confab, which they claim will help entrench true federalism and restructure the country for growth and development.
The group said the President, having courageously convoked the confab and successfully seen to the conclusion of the process of discussions and agreement on core national issues, is poised to see to the actualisation of the lofty ideals agreed upon for the benefit of all Nigerians.
The group said it believes in true federalism and that Jonathan stands for this, hence the need to work for his election.
“We hereby direct all members of AAA/PDM Collectives to support President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan through relentless campaigns and actual delivery of electoral votes,” Ajewole said.
Responding, the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, said he is excited by the decision of the group to work and support President Jonathan’s re-election having known members of the AAA/PDM Collectives as consummate grassroots politicians.
The press conference drew the attendance of members of the group from all the states of the South West.

President Goodluck Jonathan represents true federalism and good Nigerians must team up together to ensuring his relection into office , good job for the Atikus support group.
you are correct, i see it as a civic duty to ensure jonathan is been re-elected.
Sincerely you just spoke the heart of every true Nigerian.
Sure “ensuring his reflection into office” to continue no electric power supply to watch the voting process on the television? Question:- How many Nigerians in Nigeria are following the election on their TV sets as I write? Those who do are making so much noise with their generator sets, they have to turn the the TV to the maximum level to hear. What a way to continue. Those outside Nigeria are more inform on the election than Nigerians in Nigeria. Why? Simple – NO ELECTRIC POWER TO TURN THE TV, THE RADIO, THE COMPUTER, and after many hours on the cell phone, that too is @ the mercy of electric power supply. Is this the continuation Nigeria needs? 16 years is just more than enough. PDP MUST GO. Have a nice day my fellow Nigerian.
Hungry fellas who are looking to cash in on their own dollars that is being dished out in the SW. You will fail as usual because the Buhari train has already left the station.
is this a way of Atiku subliminally supporting GEJ,well its a nice move from his supporters none the less.
The right team to support is Team GEJ, recognize that people.
By GOD grace PGEJ will win the election
winning is sure for Mr President
I’m not surprise about this, even Atiku meant vote for Jonathan on that day.
PGEJ all the way. Every right thinking person will vote and support Goodluck.
Only evil minded and enemies of the masses will vote for symbol of failure, glaring corruption, insecurity, poverty, incompetence, deceit, , high cost of our God given petroleum products, patching of roads and airports which Jonathan represents. Stop deceiving Nigerians by promoting evil. For now the cap fits buhari considering our problem; corruption, transparency and accountability period and Jonathan is far from it. Be wise.
victory is very sure for PGEJ
This is a sign of victory for GEJ and for PDP.
God Forbid corruption, tribalism, liar, looters, polygamy, badluck, increase in pump price from 65 to 110, no powers, bad roads, insecurity, suffering even in balyelsa, propagandist, incompetence, lack of direction, depleted foreign reserve, irresponsible, no functional refinery too numerous to mention become our president again . Mention his achivements to qualify him for reelection apart from corruption, dashing of money as empowerment even as a portharcourt diploma phd without structures of development- thk God Ali baba boldly embarrassed him. I beg change is envitable for a new Nigeria. Buhari surely by God’s grace is our president.
They just made the best move.
Bad move that can’t change God’s will for poor masses. Atiku tried it with dollars and buhari floored him at the primaries. God is on the side of the poor masses. If the Lord be for us who can be aganst us. Pharaoh must allow us go by fire by force. Nigeria must be better pdp bye bye, 16 years is more than enough to prove a point. Tired of excuses and passing of bulk.
I AM FULLY IN SUPPORT OF GEJ’S SECOND TERM BID.
it just keeps getting and better, UP GEJ.
At the end of the day the PDP shall sing songs of victory.
GEJ has my vote, I Neva needed convincing. All d ads on TV r for lay men that don’t travel n lack the sense of comparism… I wasn’t a children durin d old regimes so I know.. GEJ till 2019
Common! Let’s do it for GEJ one more time..
Am up and grateful everyday for such a wonderful President we have in Jonathan.
Now am convinced that Jonathan has a strong edge over the opposition.
The real PDM just came out and disowned these guys – said they were fake. Jonathan the great divider.
I am happy that many Nigerians are seeing where Dr. Goodluck is taking us to and i pray those political rejects in APC to put the nation first before self. It is also time to vote out oppressive Governors like Babatunde Fashola, Rochas Okoroacha, etc. The greatest shock to me come from Abia state where the worst Governor T.A. Orji, is allowed to be a Senator while he ought to go back to prison where he belongs. I pity Abia people who allowed the worst governor in this Republic (1999 to Date) to be their senator of the Federal Republic
My brother, na PDP now. Why u dey talk like say u belong to APC
Atiku Abubakar has said it that he will never return to the PDP as the party is beyond redemption and it has become a party of those who took Nigeria for granted and hopefully they will allow him to rest all what we are looking for is change and it has come. Nigeria needs change. Those who are desperate will never see the light of the day..
We must all remain vigilant and cautious. Once the results are released, supporters of whoever it goes against will surely protest. I believe it is right to let another group try rescue this nation. 16yrs in power has seen the best of PDP. Whether good or bad, let’s try another set of brains if only for a change. God bless Nigeria.
We will review and take appropriate action.
