THE Coalition of 10 Gubernatorial candidates that dropped their individual aspirations to support Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Lagos State governorship election, has advised him to run an all-inclusive government and see himself as a father to all.

They also urged him, irrespective of whatever has transpired before and during the elections, to know that leadership responsibility is a product of God’s anointing.

In a congratulatory statement signed by the Coordinator of the group, Hon. Akinola Obadia, a copy of which was made available to The Guardian, they expressed gratitude to God for Ambode’s favour, promising to stand by him to work together in the execution of his lofty programmes.

“We pray that our Governor-elect will have the strength to continue with the ongoing good work of His Excellency, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), as we promised to stand by him to work together in the execution of his programmes as enumerated in his party’s manifesto,” the statement read.

Quoting Amilcar Cabral, who said, “The welfare of the people is the supreme law”, they appealed to the governor-elect to see his victory as a call to serve humanity and to be concerned about the welfare of the people.

“We urge him to run an all-inclusive government and see himself as a father to all, irrespective of whatever must have transpired before and during the elections. As a man of faith, we urge him to know that leadership responsibility is a product of God’s anointing.

“We also salute the golden role played by the dynamic and active APC State Chairman, Henry Ajomale for a job well done. We look forward to a new Lagos under his leadership.”

A new Lagos that is ibo free! Stay away from ibos please. Anytime anyone starts saying all inclusive, it is the ibos talking. We don’t want them in Lagos anymore they are trouble, please do not encourage them to stay. Let them go and develop their own land.

When are we going to rise above tribal sentiments for God sake. All over the world people are developing comprehensively their landmass tactically deploying developmental tools a cross cities, broaden the base. That is the secret of. Dubai which we all rush to. Kill the hatred brother . Nigeria must grow and every part both in land mass and human capital. Eko ONI baje oooo

Did non-Yorubas insult our Oba, did they cause trouble in our politics, do they cause trouble in our markets, did they make noise when deported? Only ibo parasites give us trouble and we want them gone like yesterday.

You are wrong, the average Yoruba just barely tolerate ibos. I can guarantee you to Ambode does not care for ibos at all, but he may have been accommodating until the Oba affair. He will listen because we will tell him who we want in Lagos.

Why don’t you go and make your own region into Dubai and leave Lagos alone for Yorubas? #IGBOGOHOME

I doubt if you are even a real Yoruba man. Am a Nigerian neither ibo or Yoruba but building a new Nigeria devoid of tribe haters. I ve traveled all around the would. It’s amazing. A nice n hard working Yorubas dominate the taxi business in rivers state. One was almost killed near Durban in SA, it took a fellow Nigeria ( partly ibo n Namibia) to save his life. Today he lies ill in my clinic in Pretoria. Here is what hared cause. My brother rise above it. I be in Nigeria in June hope I can see n sit with you for just 30 minutes.

You are an idealist, I am a realist, Sometimes my truth is a hard pill to swallow, but I have this wisdom because of heavy prices I have paid. I have been kicked out of places and at the time it seemed unjust, but when I arrived at my destination, the blessings came, and I was better for it.

When I say it is time for ibos to stop gallivanting all over the place, not putting roots down so that they can reap bountifully in their own land, it is because I care for them. However, the ibo man will not do it without force. In South Africa, they are constantly harassing them and despite all the violence and loss of property, they still want to stay. You literally have to chase them out to get them out. But once they gather in their region and take stock of what they have and start developing it, they will be prosperous. Is this not good for them and for our country?

This is beyond you or me, it is just the time has come, no one can fight it, it is always better to go with the flow. They will not continue to prosper anywhere outside of their region. PERIOD. sorry o.

Great discuss. You see why I am careful in appraising people? Your last memo now showed you aren’t an ibo -hater which all your previous message tends to portray. Now I can appreciate where you are coming from. Take a pause , …. You spoke of divine issue when you were kicked out you then met your blessings. People are different… The Ibos I know visit their location, they are well established and as busy as ever. Onitsha is not the biggest market in west Africa for nothing. Do you also know that Onitsha has more sky scrapers than lagos , I just read the census. Visit Nnewi I you do be very proud of them, just the way am at home whenever I visit Ibadan, somehow a peace that transcend human understating falls on me for that sake i have a masion in Jerico Ibadan. What am I driving at? Look at the Jews , as great as Isreal is they Jews are destined to be everywhere. They are in Germany, control the US business policy , strongly entrenched in France check them out in Russia they are. Now only God almighty knows why some people hardly travel while other hardly stay in a place.look at the Fulanis stretching from Maurutius to Cameroun and insist nomadic life is their portion. But come home, vist UK, you will see lots of Yorubas in UK w visit UK US a and canada , the pressure of the Yorubas and Ibos is amazing, but search for an Hausa man , you can’t find one. If you ever, he is on scholarship. Why ? That is humanity for you , human movement is destined by a force beyond you and me.nwhat we should do is try humanly to address any short coming. I feel you but the issue is management. The migration of the entire Nigeria into Lagos, made lagos ( not ife or Ibadan) what it is today. Same migration is developing Abuja now. Abuja has been there for God knows with its indigene, but simple economic policy pulling humanity into Abuja changed Abuja now. In 100 years, Abuja indigene now say all Yorubas all Ibos must leave? Let address our problems head on leave the tribe deal with the issues.

You are so wrong, I don’t know where to start.

First of all the SW region of Nigeria contributes a GDP of $136 billion to the Nigeria economy where SE contributes $36 billion. That is the measure of development, not the number of skyscrapers. Even you can see that ibo parasites have some catching up to do.

Lagos is a super economy, the highest in Nigeria and higher than 42 African countries, but not because of oil money or its migration. It is because, when Fashola became gov, he pushed very hard for better and more collection of taxes that increased their Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from monthly Naira 500,000 million in 2007 to monthly Naira 23 billion in 2014. Not a penny of that is oil money.

Second and third to Lagos are two Oil producing states, with low IGR, but high allocation plus derivation, after that comes Oyo state also with high IGR and low allocation, so we can all agree that oil money is not developing any state. You need to do it by increasing your tax base and increasing tax collection, hence your IGR.

Now if 70% of your income producing youths insists on living in someone else’s land, leaving only the old people back at home in the SE, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know that your IGR will never increase, since ibos are paying their taxes to other states. Tell me how will they develop?

I believe IGR for one SE state is Naira 250,000 million a year!! Thats not going to develop anything!

Unfortunately, having largest market won’t cut it because, traders are part of the informal economy that don’t pay income taxes, so the whole SE orientation to increasing income and GDP is not going to work until their income earning youths and adults come back home to contribute.

Go and check out the economy in the SW, it is based mostly on manufacturing, industries that have been there for decades. Also most Yorubas are professionals who earn good income and pay good income taxes.

SE and SS dependence on oil money is not helping them develop, they need more IGR, and only by staying in their own states can IGR be increased.
