Who doesn’t love good food? Why not try out some great spots and perhaps step outside your comfort zone! From Thai to Lebanese and also Nigerian food, you really can’t be bored in Lagos, as there are many places to explore. We’ve got you! Here’s a list of places you to satisfy your food cravings.

Nok by Alara

food

Famous for their four different menus, this restaurant is described as a contemporary African restaurant. They come in small portions so if you’re in lagos for just a few days, then it’s worth checking out because you can really experiment with the meals. The restaurant is located at 12A Akin Olugbade St in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Orchid House in Apapa – Thai food

Located at 15 Marine Rd, Marina in Lagos, this restaurant is rumoured to have the best Thai food in Lagos.  Sometimes we need to step outside the regular Chinese food obsession but still enjoy that Asian kick. Their meal selection consists of tempuras, fried rice, noodles and the usual Asian delicacies, with a Thai twist.

Sweet Kiwi

food

Having a sweet tooth day? Sweet Kiwi is perfect for short pick me up after work. The frozen yogurt place gives you a nice serve it yourself experience! With a variety of toppings from fruits to chocolate and granola, you really don’t have to overdo the calorie count! The frozen yogurt bar is located at Admiralty Way (E), Eti-Osa, Lekki.

Six Restaurant

This restaurant is awesome for dates! The ambiance is quite intimate and relaxing setting. You can watch the cars and lights go by while sipping on a margarita and smoking shisha.  They also have great spicy chicken wings and enticing cocktails, you really can’t go wrong with this spot.

Samantha’s Bistro & Grill, Ikoyi

There’s always something going on at Samantha’s. It’s a bit of a hub like that.  Either there are junior chef classes, a food festival or an evening turn up.  Otherwise it’s a relaxed place to order amazing food from their diverse menu, from Naija to America and everywhere in-between. You can find the place at 2 Olawale Daoda (Webb Road), off Kingsway

HSE Cafe, Lekki

On Fola Osibo, confusingly where it becomes Plot 2 Emma Abimbola Close, you will find this little gem hidden away in the mini mall. A new instagram favourite, HSE has a New York style coffee bar and a changing menu of delightful gourmet lunches prepared by the chef Nkesi.

Utazi Restaurant

Believe it or not it’s quite difficult to find good Nigerian restaurants so this is a great place to feel at home. Located at Etim Inyang Cres, Immediate Area in Lagos, the restaurant is recommended as a fantastic place to eat predominantly Nigerian meals by Eat Drink Lagos. They describe the restaurant as “a much better alternative to L’Afric and Yellow Chilli.”

Sugarcane, Victoria Island

The new stunning VI eatery everyone is talking about with a killer brunch menu.  In the morning it attracts families for their red velvet pancakes, in the evening the cool crowd drop in for their pre-clubbing cocktails. The restaurant is located at 6A Ologan Agbaje Close.

La Taverna

Pasta and pizza all the way!  Located at 23401, Balarabe Musa Cres, 23401 in Lagos, the Italian restaurant apparently has the best pizza in Lagos. The ambiance is super intimate and family friendly, plus if you’re a pasta and pizza lover, this might just be your new haven!
