2019: Kebbi North youths endorse Kangiwa for senate
Ahead of next year’s general elections, youths in Kebbi North Senatorial District of Kebbi State have endorsed Dr. Hussaini Suleiman Kangiwa, currently representing Arewa/Dandi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives for the senate.
Speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi yesterday, youth leader in the district, Sani Abubakar Kangiwa, said the endorsement was based on the performance of the House member, who he said has done remarkably well in the areas of youths empowerment and human capacity building by providing soft loan facilities for married and unmarried women, as well as provision of potable drinking water across the constituency.
“We are not unmindful of the even development his was able to bring to us and that is the reason we want him to become our next senator, so that he can do more for us.
“We earnestly called on him to represent us at the senate chamber,” Sani declared.
He disclosed their intention to go to even the government, party officials and All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders within and outside the district to actualise their dream, noting that in the whole of the district, which comprises Argungu, Augie, Arewa, Dandi, Bagudo and Suru Councils, only Arewa has not been given the opportunity to produced a senator, governor or deputy governor.
He, however, enjoined the youths vanguards, who had been championing the move, not to relent in their efforts in ensuring that the agitation has reach, adding: “We believe Kangiwa is for the betterment of all and sundry in the district and beyond.”
The youth leader commended Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu for his neutrality in the selection and endorsement of candidates, thereby allowing people to make their own choices.
