Two former ministers Drs. Olu Agunloye and Wole Oyelese have called on the Federal Government to ensure that those who stole public funds are brought to book

Agunloye who declared his support for the anti-graft crusade, stressed that that all politicians and public servants found culpable should be prosecuted.

The former Minister of Power and Steel who justified the proprietary for the crusade, noted that the President has no other choice than to salvage the nation from the grip of corruption.

He argued that the menace has become a cankerworm, which has eaten deeply into the socio-economic system of the country, recommending that government at all levels need to join hands to fight it before it destroys the country.

Agunloye maintained that the fight against corruption must neither be selective nor targeted at political enemies.

In a statement made available to reporters Ibadan, Oyelese said, “As a rider on the tiger’s back knows so well that he cannot dismount while the tiger is still alive without dire consequences, President Buhari can now neither slow down nor stop this dogged war against corruption. This is because so much has already been let out that most Nigerians now feel terribly betrayed by our past leaders and are now boiling with anger over the wickedness of the looters of our treasuries.”
