AKSG appoints new SSG

Governor Udom Emmanuel has announced the appointment of Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem as the new Secretary to Akwa Ibom State government.

Governor Udom Emmanuel has announced the appointment of Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem as the new Secretary to Akwa Ibom State government.

This was contained in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh.

Ekuwem takes over from Mr. Etekamba Umoren who had occupied the position since the inception of Udom’s administration two and half years ago.

According to the statement, the appointment is part of a continuous efforts to rejig the governance structure of the state, which started with the swearing-in of 2 new commissioners less than two months ago.

The immediate past Secretary to the State Government (SSG) has served in past government as Permanent Secretary, Governor’s Office for about eight years, before the appointment as SSG.

Ekuwem, holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering Physics, Masters Degree in Physics, Masters Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering (Microcomputer-based Instrumentation and Control Engineering).
