The President, International School Ibadan Alumni Association (ISIAA), Tive Ekpere, has advised ex-students to develop their former schools.

Ekpere, speaking at the Victory Dance of ISIAA in Lagos, said alumni participation remained one of the effective ways to raise the standard of education in Nigeria. He said over the years, the association had helped the school achieve its goals and objectives.

Similarly, the head of school, Motunrayo Ige, said old students could be effective in developing infrastructure in their old schools. She said the benefits of alumni associations were too numerous to count. “One of the gains of this association is networking and mentoring. Every year, we see new faces, old classmates and juniors,” she said.

Secretary of the association, Yemi Soyibo, pointed out that unless government pumped money into the education sector, nothing tangible would be achieved.
