Ambode’s wife a role model, strong pillar of support, says group

The Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard (IEV) has described the wife of Lagos State governor, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, as a role model and a strong support for her husband. The group, made up of social activists, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), artisans, political groups and youths and led by its coordinator, Mr. Bamigbade Seyi, in a statement to felicitate with the governor’s wife who recently turned 54, said Mrs. Ambode is a humble and compassionate mother, who combines decency and commitment to excellence.

“In personal and public life, she has been able to worm her way into the hearts of so many Lagosians. Mrs. Ambode is a detribalized Lagosian, who has traversed the length and breadth of the state, helping the less-privileged people, seeking the emancipation of women and the youths for an egalitarian society through her pet project the Hope for Women in Nigeria Initiative (HOFOWEM), while her unflinching backing for the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has helped tremendously in the fulfillment of his electioneering promises to Lagosians,” IEV said.

The group, however, prayed that God gives Mrs. Ambode the strength to enable her to continue to work beyond 2019 for the betterment of her fatherland as savoured the joy of the occasion of the celebration of her birthday.
