President Muhammadu Buhari says the gazette on the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme is being studied with a view to determining what had been fulfilled, promising that whatever is left would equally be addressed.

The President, who spoke while receiving a delegation of Niger Delta Dialogue and Contact Group, led by the Amanyanabo of Twon Brass, Bayelsa State and first Military Governor of old Rivers State, King Alfred Diette-Spiff at the State House yesterday, pledged the judicious application of the nation’s resources.

He, again, restated that the rebuilding of the country remained central to the policies of the current administration.

To achieve the onerous task, Buhari sought the patience and understanding of the citizenry.

“We intend to rebuild this country so that our children and grand-children will have a good place they can call their own. A lot of damage has been done, so I want you to tell the people to be patient.

“When you meet with other leaders, please pacify the people. We will utilise the resources of Nigeria with integrity and rebuild the country,” he said.

The President charged the members of the group to reiterate his appeal to those who perpetrate violence to embrace peace and give government a chance.

“I want to get as much intelligence as possible on the situation in the Niger Delta. I have encouraged law enforcement agencies to contact leaders like you in order to have enough information to deal with the issues once and for all,” he added.

Buhari sympathised with investors who borrowed lot of money to invest in the Niger Delta region but were yet to recoup their investments owing to insecurity.

Earlier, King Diette-Spiff said the group was made of peace builders, dedicated to peace and stability in the oil-rich region.

YES, YES, BUHARI, WHEN LIFE GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GETS GOING.

YOU ONLY MOVE WHEN A BIG SLEDGE HAMMER HANGS ON YOUR HEAD. YOU DO NOT SEEM TO APPRECIATE CIVILISED DIALOG AND A POLITE LANGUAGE.

Both sides are playing for time. None of them is sincere. A lot of motion but no movement.

PATIENCE HAS A LIMIT, and yet the limit is determined by what’s at stake.
Boohari must realise that he doesn’t any leverage:- none whatsoever. MY WAY OR WAR is obsolete, and cannot apply in a global village :- the world. Therefore, Nigeria’s former dictator, boohari must find a reasonable way to relinguish power to the people who have endured 50 years of systematic strangulation in all its ramifications. Nigeria must embrace a new dawn, a new struture that ushers in hope, freedom, human and equal right for all Nigerians.
NO ONE CAN BE MADE A SLAVE WITHOUT HIS CONSENT. Yorubas are free to remain slaves of gambaris, it’s their democratic right to do so.

Good move Mr President. Elders in the South south region must show required leadership traits that would help curbed militancy and absolute liberty to committing crimes against the nation.
The idea behind the formation of government is from the general society so that we could provide laws and institutions to enforce same.
The elders of IPOB have come out clearly to state their condemnation of militancy and that Niger Delta Avengers are disgruntled elements without good upbringing.

POWER YOUR GENERATOR WITH GAS (COOKING GAS)
    It is now possible to
run PETROL generators with liquefied natural gas or liquefied Petroleum
gas commonly referred to as cooking gas. This is not fiction because it
is coming from the mouths of those involved in its usage as well as
from those involved in it for business.

    Running gasoline
generators on cooking gas is safe health wise ( less Carbon monoxide
emission ) compared to petro, as the smoke discharged from petrol
generators is very dangerous to health ,
efficient power output, less sound from generator and makes Engine oil
last longer reducing cost of servicing. also promoting engine life span

The dual fuel carburetor aids petrol generators to run on gas and
petrol interchangeably depending on availability hence you cannot be
    stranded than petrol.

Buhari appears to have eaten the humble pie after posturing as a crush them all commander.
It’s unfortunate that the tendencies that Buhari represent can not initiate the much needed restructuring Nigerai needs
Only Resource control and True Federalusm cab save Nigeria from collapse

Well said and done Mr. President. Good words they said bring kola from the pocket and also wellbeing to the citizens of the country. If the president had followed the rash behaviours of NDA, there will be bombing and killing of innocents in NDA as we speak/write. Thank you for listening to the words of reasonings from your advisers and statesmen. Wishing you a long life so that you could complete what you started. As for those bent on destroying the country, you should rethink your stand and dialogue with the government to find lasting solutions to the ills that oil exploration and extraction has caused the NDA. As rational thinking Nigerians could see, the present and past governors and administrators of NDA has been selfish and refused to develop the area. This administration will hold the NDA elites accountable for the past and present allocations to the area and how they were spent and anyone could bet their last kobo on this.

It’s a pity that vibrant people have left making comments on issues here because of the way some of us insult one another. Intelligent minds know that offering of olive branch by Buhari doesn’t mean he’s weak. I pray that this window of opportunity to negotiate doesn’t fail. If it does and state of emergency is declared in those states, you will cry to amnesty international for help and you won’t get any.

It takes a smart and peace loving leader to know that war never resolve any issue. A good leader also know that during the war, someone’s child is going to die and it is not necessarily his. Sometime you have to ignore some comments on this and other forum as those commenting don’t think with their heads and some forget to take their daily medications. Some write just to be relevant and most of what they write are irrelevant to the topic. That’s Nigeria for you; it is a country where everybody want to be an expert on everything.

We are not deceived, Buhari has lost woefully in his desire to conquer oil & gas. The military is still holding on to secondary school children that were taken away at midnight from their parents homes and labeled militants. The Maritime University in Delta state is still shut. Fulani Herdsmen are still in our forests killing and rapping without any response from his government. Let him fail to yield to the popular agitation of restructuring Nigeria and pay a very severe prize.
