A major player in Nigeria’s oilfield services sector, AOS Orwell, has completed the integration of the process automation cabinets for the Southern Swamp Associated Gas Solution (SSAGS) project field auxiliary room at Ogbotobo on behalf of SAIPEM for delivering to Shell Petroleum and Development Company (SPDC).

In a statement issued by the company’s Country Manager (PMD), Mr. Puneet Garg, said that it is the First Integrated Factory Acceptance Test process monitoring and integration control unit successfully completed by the company for SSAGS.

He described the feat as a clear demonstration of “excellent team work by all.”Garg said: “We are proud to announce that the Field Auxiliary Room (FAR) has been tested and cleared for shipment by SPDC, SAIPEM & EMERSON.”

According to him, the project is a containerised and intelligent modular building for the SSAGS project, adding that, “It is an equipped process management solution consisting of parts that ensures all necessary functions of a plant.”

He said that the main parts consist of building module, AC distribution and protection for equipment, cabling and earthing system, lighting, cable inlets and cable trays, raised floor, air-condition system, PAS, SIS and F&G detection system, FACP assembly and testing.

Garg said that the project has been delivered by AOS Orwell, which acted as the indigenous partner to EMERSON on behalf of SAIPEM the main Equipment Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor to SPDC.
