The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday taunted the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for kowtowing to the wishes of Governor Nyesom Wike over the choice of Port Harcourt as venue for its presidential primaries.

The party, in a statement by its Acting National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Yekini Nabena, noted that the development clearly underlined the fact that the PDP is not an all-inclusive and democratic party.

It wondered why seasoned politicians like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Ahmed Makarfi allowed Wike to assume the role of de-facto PDP national chairman, sole administrator, spokesman, organising secretary and BoT chairman.

Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Chapter of the APC has postponed its governorship primaries to today, October 1, 2018.

The state Publicity Secretary of the party, Shehu Isa, adduced non-arrival of the election committee members from the national headquarters in Abuja for the decision.
