Arbitrators’ Investiture, awards ceremony hold in Lagos today
The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) has concluded plans to hold its annual investiture and awards ceremony for the conferment of fellowships, memberships, associate memberships and qualified mediator’s status on notable members of the academia and other distinguished professionals who have successfully completed NICArb’s mandatory programmes.
According to the association, the ceremony would focus on facilitating and promoting the administration and development of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Nigeria.
The theme for this year’s ceremony slated for December 7 is ‘Ethics and Professionalism in Arbitration’. The event will hold at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Speaking to journalists, the Vice President of the Institute, Prof. Fabian Ajogwu, stated that the event would involve intellectual and practical discourse by invited guests from the academia, judiciary and private and public sectors.
