AYEEN empowers 500 with entrepreneurship skills

Consistent with its mission to raise robust entrepreneurs in Nigeria and across the continent, the Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs Empowerment Nigeria (AYEEN) has empowered 500 youths with entrepreneurial skills.

The lucky beneficiaries were meticulously screened from a pool of thousands by a panel of local and international judges after going through their business ideas and proposals that cut across major sectors of the nation’s economy.

AYEEN’s Chief Executive Matron, Mrs. Folorunso Alakija,  charged the beneficiaries not to relent in their effort to succeed in their chosen endeavours. She submitted that her entrepreneurship voyage has been one of continuous hard work laced with determination and resilience, adding that amid the prevailing economic challenges, entrepreneurs still play a vital role in the development of the nation.

The President, Mr. Summy Smart Francis, the lucky finalists must forge ahead by ensuring that their naysayers do not  laugh last.

Taking them through the struggles of an entrepreneur, he advised them to judiciously utilise the resources being provided by the organisation to catalyse job creation for fellow Nigerians and Africans.

The Vice President, Ibada Ahmed, intimated attendees of an initiative geared at restructuring Borno State. She gave its name as Empower Borno.
