Former governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa, yesterday said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed to implement the “false and empty promises” on which it rode to power.

In his state of the nation address and review of the over two years stewardship of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, the opposition leader said the ruling party had been riddled with internal crisis, adding that hardship has been the lot of Nigerians.

Musa, who is also the national chairman of the People Redemption Party (PRP), explained that none of the promises made by APC before coming to power in 2015 had been fulfilled, instead, he said the government had inflicted hardship to overwhelm the masses.

Speaking at his party’s 54th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, the elder statesman said the nation’s economy had remained comatose with unemployment hitting the rooftop and insecurity among other issues becoming more worrisome.

He argued that his party would remedy the situation if it gets to power, adding that APC has bastardised the political environment.

“As you are all aware, our nation today remains in a very sorry state despite all the lofty promises and flowery speeches made by the ruling government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the inception of the administration in 2015.”
