THE President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Dr. Sampson Olasupo Ayokunle, has appealed to the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega to ensure that all the complaints and the re-run polls scheduled to take place in parts of the country are adequately addressed.

The cleric stated this on yesterday while briefing journalists in Owerri, the Imo State capital ahead of the 102 annual convention of the Baptist High School, taking place in Obinze, Owerri West Local Council of the state.

Ayokunle also appealed to the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) to reduce the number of government appointees as a way of cutting down on the cost of running government when he takes over in May 29.

He also advised him not to appoint corrupt politicians who might have been already pressuring him for positions.
