The Association of Forensic and Investigative Auditors (AFIA) has urged the Federal Government to ensure passage of the Chartered Institute of Forensic Investigative Auditors Bill to fast track the anti-graft war.

Speaking at the inauguration of new members in Abuja, yesterday, President AFIA, Dr. Enape Victoria Ayishetu, said Nigeria must develop and increase its auditing system to make progress in prevention and fight against corruption.

Ayishetu said if the bill was passed into law, underdevelopment, untimely deaths as a result of poverty, crimes and criminalities, would become things of the past.

She called on stakeholders to ensure passage of the bill to enable the body stop all forms of financial fraud and unethical behaviour in government and private organisations.
