Buhari hails the “quality” of Nigerians in Netherland

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday commended Nigerians in the Netherlands for being of great qualities in their personal achievement.

The president is currently in the Netherlands to participate in the activities to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), at The Hague.

In a statement issued by his spokesman Femi Adesina, Buhari commended a group of Nigerians he met in Netherland for representing the country well with their personal achievement.

“I am pleased with the quality of People I am seeing. you are high-quality people. congratulations on your personal achievements” said Buhari.

According to Adesina, Julius Nwakpa, chairman NIDO who led the delegations praised the President for fervent war against corruption and urged him to put end to the killings going on in the country.

Nwakpa also thanked the president for signing the Diaspora Commission Act while asking for its final implementation.

Diaspora Commission bill was signed in 2017 by Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo who was the acting president when Buhari was on a sick leave.

The Diaspora Commission Act has the responsibility to coordinate and organise Nigerians in and from the Diaspora to contribute human capital and material resources, including their expertise, for the development of Nigeria and its constituent states.
