CIPSMN holds three-day programme on public procurement
The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN) has planned a three-day proficiency development programme on procurement and professionalism
The programme, which would hold from August 23, 2017, in Abuja, would discuss the proposed amendment of the Public Procurement Act 14 of 2007 by the National Assembly.
Public sector challenges, especially the lack of professionalism and ineffective public procurement would form part of the programme.
It is also expected to offer new and effective, fraud-free techniques in procurement, contract management, materials and store management.
Other areas include procurement audit, organisational behaviour, logistics and supply chain management in general.
