The Coca-Cola Company has donated medical equipment, kits and supplies worth over N3.8bn to the National Hospital Abuja under its Safe Birth Initiative (SBI).

Speaking at the launch of SBI, yesterday, in Abuja, President of Coca Cola (West Africa), Mr. Peter Njonjo said the target, in the first phase (2018 to 2020), was to implement the programme in 15 major public hospitals recommended by the Federal Ministry of Health, saying with Coca-Cola’s grant, Medshare will leverage their donor network to source and deliver to hospitals that require equipment, kits and supplies. 

‘’ The issue of safe birth resonates strongly with us because it affects the wellbeing of women. Globally, Coca-Cola has a commitment to women whom we consider as pillars of the society .”
