Compliance Institute of Nigeria holds inaugural investiture tomorrow

The Compliance Institute of Nigeria (CIN) holds its first inaugural investiture ceremony where about 900 members will be inducted in Lagos tomorrow.

The institute has members drawn across sectors, including insurance, taxation and the capital market.

At a press conference in Lagos, the president of CIN, Pattison Boleigha, specifically stated that the institute was established to encourage and promote compliance within the regulatory environment.

He noted that the compliance certification would open doors of opportunities for inductees. as compliance professionals are in very high demand today.

“The training will assist to fight corruption, terrorism, kidnapping and bribery in financial institutions.

“The financial sector is a conduit through which illicit finances pass through. The way the institute will assist is to train compliance officers who will be working in the banks and make sure the rules of the Central Bank.”
