Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode yesterday said that the state civil servants must not make life difficult for citizens, but ensure transactions and interactions with citizens are simplified.

Speaking at the opening of a two-day workshop with the theme ‘Engaging global best practices to deliver value per excellence in Lagos State’, Ambode, represented by the Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pensions, Dr Akintola Benson Oke, said by providing citizens with the information they need on how to process a request in an easy-to-use resource, citizens can adequately prepare to complete their transactions and processes in one visit.

He maintained that civil servants must ensure that citizens have a positive experience interacting with the government.

According to him, it is important that the civil servants ensure simplified processes because citizens expect the government to comply with global best practices in democratic governance.
