The Department of State Services (DSS) said, yesterday, that it arrested a suspect responsible for the recent coup plot hoax.

The Department of State Services (DSS) said, yesterday, that it arrested a suspect responsible for the recent coup plot hoax.
It also disclosed the arrest of 14 others suspected of various crimes, ranging from terrorism, kidnapping, and vandalism to forgery and high profile hijacking.
The Service in a statement signed by Tony Opuiyo named one Jones Abiri aka General Akotebe Darikoro as the mastermind in the recent rumour that some officers in the military in connivance with militants are plotting to overthrow the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Opuiyo said the suspect had confessed to this and other crimes after he was arrested on July 21, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.
