Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo North senatorial district have promised to work together to ensure victory for the party in the 2019 general elections.According to them, the success of Adams Oshiomhole as national chairman of the party must begin from Edo North, his district.

The APC leaders, who took the party’s total victory as their first major task, urged the Afemai people to make a good choice in the 2019 elections, particularly for Edo North.Addressing party faithful in Agenebode, Etsako East Council, convener of the meeting and Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Peter Anegbe, said: “APC is an Afemai party and we must not give our vote to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“We are here irrespective of our political affiliation to ensure that Edo North does not drift backwards from the current level of development achieved by the incumbent senator. We know our past stories as it concerns senatorial representation and we are here as leaders to take an oath never to return to the dark days of self-enrichment.

“Edo North suffered before the emergence of Senator Francis Alimikhena who has laid legislative benchmark.”He described Alimikhena as a passionate leader who could go the extra mile for the good of the Afemai people.

“He represents the face of Edo North generation yearning for change in leadership. He has been a performer even before he became a senator.“Looking at his dynamic nature, we cannot but encourage him to throw his hat into the senatorial ring for continuity. We believe in his leadership qualities and we urge the Afemai people to make a good choice in the 2019 Edo North election,” Anegbe said.
