Officials of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) have said the Returning Electoral Officer that announced fake results and delivered victory to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the re-run election in Chikun Local Government Area was an impostor.

Meanwhile, officials of KADSIECOM have denied that the Returning Officer is a staff. At a press briefing in Kaduna at the weekend, the Chairman of KADSIECOM, Dr. Saratu Dikko-Audu explained that the Returning Officer was an impostor and unknown to the commission.

She said elections did not hold in the Council Area because KADSIECOM office was invaded. On the situation in Kaura during the scheduled re-run polls, she said some stakeholders in the area refused to allow distribution of materials without Returning Officers’ presence, a development that prevented polls from holding.

She added that in Jaba LGA, two different results were announced, noting that the Commission had advised APC and PDP to seek justice at elections tribunal.Meanwhile, she announced that the winner of Kaduna South Chairmanship election is APC’s Kabiru Yakubu Jarimi.
