Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to sanction Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, saying he contributed in ousting the Goodluck Jonathan government in 2015.

It alleged that Ekweremau, who aided in plotting Jonathan’s removal from office, has been colluding with some members of the National Assembly to retain his seat next year.

Ekweremadu had said in Enugu on Sunday that he donated N5 million in 2014 towards the registration of APC members in Enugu State, as part of his contribution to widen the political space, adding that he was moved to help the party because it lacked funds to complete the process.
