As part of activities to mark the International Day of the Girl-Child yesterday, the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabu Foundation (AAAF) organised a trip to Bale Market, Egbeda in Alimosho Local Council of Lagos, to educate the girl –child and demonstrate out-of-class learning on community challenge in line with the 2016 United Nations’ theme for the International Day of the Girl-Child, which was marked yesterday.

With the theme: Girls Progress: Goals Progress, the foundation and Alimosho Local Council, therefore, called on all stakeholders to invest in equal opportunities for the empowerment and development of the girl-child.

“The girl-child represents Nigeria’s most valuable assets. With better education, together with our community of girls, we can explore their vibrant energy, budding talents and creativity to edge the nation towards sustainable development,” the group said.
