The Uche Ahubelem Centre for Development (UACHD) yesterday distributed bags of rice, beverages, and bottles of groundnut oil to indigent widows at the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State to celebrate the Yuletide .

According to the Founder of the foundation, Uche Ahubelem, the gesture was part of the foundation’s way of putting smiles on the faces of the widows, as they no longer have husbands to cater for them.

Ahubelem, who is also the Group Managing Director, Brickwall Global Investment Limited, said the foundation also focused on empowering youths and widows in entrepreneurial skills.

“We are interested in making sure that these widows are happy. The little we have done is to show them our love. We believe that whatever we are doing today is what God wants us to do,” he said.

The widows, however, expressed happiness at the foundation’s kind gesture.
