Group begins herbal festival tomorrow

Bio Resources Development and Conversation Programme (BDCP) in collaboration with Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA), Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO) Lagos and International Centre for Ethno medicine and Drug Development (InterCEDD) are set to host a traditional herbal medicine festival tagged HerbFest 2016.

HerbFest is an event on traditional Nigerian herbal medicine and natural organic products.

The Director General/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FIIRO, Dr. Gloria Elemo, at a press briefing yesterday said: “HerbFest is an annual, regional, natural product expo with the mission to bring together a wide range of stakeholders actively involved in the use, research, promotion and development of herbal and natural products.”

Elemo added: “The event, which is scheduled to take place at Owerri, Imo State from October 11 to October 13, 2016 will have guests all over the globe.
