A PRESSURE group, Okowa Renaissance Group Diaspora, has called on Deltans to vote massively for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, in the April 11 governorship election in the state.
It also urged citizens of voting age to pick up their permanent voter cards (PVCs) so as to exercise their franchise at the polls.

The coordinator, Esoswo Imagoro, noted that the 23-year-old state needed at this crucial stage of the nation’s socio-political history a tested technocrat to take it to the next developmental level.

He said: “The onerous task of leading a state such as Delta, with its ethnic diversity and political sophistication, requires a man with experience, humility and grassroots reach of Senator Okowa, who sincerely knows, understands and is ready to give the people of Delta State the much desired leadership.”

Imagoro continued: “Without argument, Okowa is indeed, the right man and the choice of Deltans.”

He disclosed that his group’s endorsement of the PDP candidate was informed by the fact that he was better equipped for the job after a ‘dispassionate’ assessment of all the aspirants jostling to occupy the Government House, Asaba in the next political dispensation.
